I always wanted to learn to throw pots. But I was too busy.

One day, working excessively caught up with me. Exhausted from back-to-back business trips, I fell down 18 stairs almost breaking my neck.

That’s when work/life balance found me.

A potter can’t force a bowl or a cup into being. It takes kneading clay and centering it on the wheel. Applying just enough water, just enough pressure, and just enough speed to spin your creation into being. Too much of anything and it ruptures.

My transformation didn’t come from pressuring myself with a heavy-duty bucket list. It came from giving myself a chance. Doing what I wanted to do ignited my creative spirit. Instead of spinning out of control, I learned how to be centered, balanced, and in the flow by creating not only beautiful pots, but a more beautiful life.
